Our collaboration

In 2025, I worked with East Neuk Centre Trust to redesign and rebuild their public-facing website, supporting the Trust’s aim to better promote venue hire, community activities and projects across four community buildings in the East Neuk of Fife.

The project began with a discovery phase involving the Trust’s office and trustee representatives. We reviewed the existing website, clarified audiences and priorities, and agreed the overall information architecture, page structure, tone and visual direction. Particular emphasis was placed on clarity, accessibility and making it easy for users to find practical information such as venue details, regular activities and contact routes.

I led the design and build of the new WordPress site, covering information architecture, page layouts, content structuring and copywriting. This included rewriting and organising a large volume of content, designing consistent page templates for venues and projects, and ensuring accessibility and usability best practice throughout.

The site was developed iteratively, with review and refinement as content became available. I also coordinated the hosting setup and migration to WordPress, working with the Trust’s IT support provider to prepare the live environment and manage the go-live process ahead of Christmas.

Following launch, I carried out content updates based on feedback and delivered a handover and training session for Trust staff, enabling them to confidently manage and update the site going forward.
